Wuthering Heights is a tale of revenge. It follows the life of Heathcliff, a mysterious gypsy-like person, from childhood (about seven years old) to his death in his late thirties. Heathcliff rises in his adopted family and then is reduced to the status of a servant, running away when the young woman he loves decides to marry another. He returns later, rich and educated and sets about gaining his revenge on the two families that he believed ruined his life.

“Love takes many forms in Wuthering Heights. Share with us what love means to you.”
“Perhaps Love is like a resting place
A shelter from the storm Perhaps love is like the ocean
Full of conflict, full of pain’’
…Surely, one song cannot help you figure out what love is but love does have some meanings for me…One meaning is family…With love, we build up our comfortable home together. One meaning is friends. They are always backing me by a warm-hearted message, an encouraging smile, a kindly and considerate help and so on. We are companions now and forever.
Quarrellings happen now and then but love is the solution to disputes. Love is the glue to repair a broken relationship. What’s more, I once found that love is the cause of arguments actually. Love is a good teacher also which teaches me how to love others. I hope everyone may feel love, from family, friendships, teachers or even strangers.
Still, I think love is complicated. Though the song has been completed, my journey of learning the matter and experiencing the feeling of love will be going on.”

“Love… to me …we may use ‘forgo’. Just close your eyes and think did you ever give up something just because of someone you love? I am sure everybody did. In fact, if we don’t take everything for granted, we are able to see how much the others love us.
Without doubt, our families should be the ones in which give us love since born till death. Our parents give up the chance to enjoy their private time to earn money in order to provide us the best materials and raise us to become a healthy, responsible people, making sure we are doing no harm to the society…Beside families … Being a teacher is not an easy task. They have to sacrifice their time which should be spared to their families in order to have remedial classes with us, consolidating our knowledge. Moreover, they have to care of students’ emotional problems which are so complicated and hard to understand…
There are lots of people who love us. The only thing we should do is to treasure their love and don’t disappoint them…With more caring and giving out, the world will be full of love. And you will see how beautiful the world is.”
Chu Sing Yung | PLK Laws Foundation College
“…Perhaps…the most common form of love is love between couples…but I am certain this is not the only form of love…
love…appears in many different forms. For example, love and care from the families, love from friends, and love from people who care about us like teachers and relatives. This magical four-letter word exists among us. We may not be able to visualize it all the time but we can definitely feel it in the air if we pay close attention. Love is everywhere. Love keeps everything in harmony and keeps the devil opposite – hate, away from the world. It is the fuel cell of the world and makes the world a better place. Without love, this world will definitely fall apart and will be nothing more than hell.”
