“Have you ever met a person who was difficult to get along with at first, but then became good friends with them? Share with us your experience."
“…My friend is Helen. We were arranged to sit together at school when we were in Form One. At first, I thought that she was bad-tempered and rude, for she always shouted at me for minor faults. She would yell at me and look really cross…One day, she complained that I didn't lend her a pencil, and I finally burst. I was furious. I shouted back at her angrily and she did so too in return. We didn't speak to each other for a few days.
What surprised me was, it was Helen who tried to make up with me first. She apologised to me and I decided to forgive her…We became fast friends soon after that. We had a few more arguments and sometimes we would ignore each other again, but we understood each other and we knew that we should always forgive…Instead of being enemies, I'm glad that we've sorted out our differences and have become firm friends.”

“Yes, I met a friend and she was actually quite annoying at first. She had a bad temper and she never think about others’ feelings. I tried to approach her and help her change from all these bad habits. I chatted with her in our free time and found that she was trapped in an experience happened in her childhood. We then seek help from the social worker at school and now we are good friends.”
