“After Hugo’s father dies in a fire, Hugo discovers a secret left by him and sets out on a quest to solve the mystery, which will transform the lives of those around him. We all have quests in our lives. Share your life’s quest with us, along with what it has taught you thus far.”
“When I was a primary student, my classmate called Minying took me to see the nature reservoir of our town in the hill near our school at noon. It is very hot in that time. He led me to the destination through a very narrow but quick way. There were many small trees spread around the track. After about ten minutes, we reached the reservoir. I was shocked that there was only several puddles in the reservoir and yellow land was seen. From it, I knew why water supply was intermittent in that summer. This was my first time of knowing environment without water. Now, the image often appears in my mind when I drink or use water. It also teaches me to cherish the thing I have.”

“I have been questing for a higher level of academic results for a long time. I tried to get high marks in my assessments and examinations. I just focused on my scores and ignored the real thing that I should quest for. That is my knowledge and what I have learnt from school. I have learnt now that I should seek for real knowledge and how to put it into practice. This can fulfill my life and provide me with real wisdom.”
Yuen Kwok Ming | Hong Kong Chinese Women's Club College
“I never know that I am good at running…Things started to change when I got my first medal…Something inside me stirred up like a spark. I felt good and it gave me a few points in my other learning experiences record. I started to pay attention to the record that I made and those achieved by my seniors. Then, my eyes are on those recorded at other schools. I try to compare and see if I am very far away from or ahead of those pioneers.
Being immature and having no experts around me…I have no idea of diets or planning a schedule for myself to practice. What’s worse? My mother did not approve of what I was doing… Now that I have learnt to ask around and she has given in a bit, I can focus more on running. I consult my PE teachers and people that I encountered at different competitions. I am still on my way to actualize my dream and achieve my goal. I will get there eventually—a true and successful runner representing Hong Kong.
