I think that T.S. left secretly without telling his beloved family because he did not want his family members to worry about him. Also, he possibly considered himself as an adult and he thought that he could handle it himself and became independent.

If I were T.S. , I would choose to inform my family members in advance and persuaded them to come with me to Washington D.C. . Therefore, my parents would feel comfortable about my safety and my brother would have a very great time with me there.

After watching the trailer, I have understood part of the content of this appealing movie. In this film, T.S. left secretly without telling his beloved family after he knew he has been awarded the prestigious Baird Prize. Related to why he took this action, I think there are two possible reasons. First of all, TS is a gifted child with extraordinary talents and numerous brilliant ideas in his head. He thinks that he has enough confidence to go to Washington D.C. by himself alone. Moreover, he also discovers that he has enough energy to overcome this thrilling task. Afterwards, he has an illusion of thinking that his parents trust him a lot. As a result, he is not afraid of being scolded by his parents even though he just leaves a note.

The second reason is he decides to prepare a stunning but secret speech which is used in the award presentation ceremony. Then, he definitely does not hope his parents know his speech and spread it to the neighboring people. In order to keep his speech remain unique, he leaves secretly so that his parents will not ask him about the speech due to knowing their son has won an amazing prize.

However, for me, I would not be the same as him. This is because leaving home is a quite serious problem to normal parents in the world. When the children decide to leave secretly without telling their beloved parents, this will make their parents feeling worried and anxious. Our parents love us very much and they may become frightened and terrified if we don’t care about their feelings. In contrast, if we can tell them why we leave, they can stay with us and visit far places together. This is a much better way to deal with the problem. This is the end of my sharing.
