Winners for "ROBINSON CRUSOE 3D"

On a tiny exotic island, Tuesday, an outgoing parrot lives with his quirky animal friends in paradise. However, Tuesday can’t stop dreaming about discovering the world. After a violent storm, Tuesday and his friends wake up to find a strange creature on the beach: Robinson Crusoe. Tuesday immediately views Crusoe as his ticket off the island to explore new lands. Likewise, Crusoe soon realizes that the key to surviving on the island is through the help of Tuesday and the other animals. It isn’t always easy at first, as the animals don’t speak “human.” Slowly but surely, they all start living together in harmony, until one day, when their comfortable life is overturned by two savage cats, who wish to take control of the island. A battle ensues between the cats and the group of friends but Crusoe and the animals soon discover the true power of friendship up against all odds (even savage cats).

Imagine you’re stranded on a deserted island like Robinson Crusoe, what would be on the island? What would happen? What would you do?

If I were stranded on a deserted island like Robinson Crusoe, I would be afraid to live alone without any daily necessities or electrical devices to enjoy my comfortable life.

I can see the beautiful sceneries of edgeless sea view and the forests. To test my courage, I would explore in the forest, searching those plants with different shapes and colors, animals that cannot be seen in the zoo and also the disgusting insects (I hope they won’t stick onto my skin, yuck!).

I would collect the leaves and branches in order to build a shelter for me to sleep in. In the morning, I would try to look for the fruits. I would walk around the island to see if there were any useful substances. At night, I would sleep in my shelter, watching the beautiful night view on the beach. Of course most importantly, I would try to build a fire to keep myself warm and protect myself from being attacked by the wild animals.

Accidents may happen on the island. Animals may attack me, heavy rain may destroy my food and shelter. I may feel sad, nervous and hungry. I would stay alert anytime for sudden incidents and stay cheerful to overcome the difficulties.

I would work hard to collect the stones as many as possible in order to make an enormous ‘SOS’ sign on the beach to let people notice and rescue me. I would eager to go back home. Although it seems very free to live on the island, I feel very lonely. I want to return to my normal life in the crowded city.

Imaging I were stranded on a desolate island like Robinson Crouse, I would feel absolutely forlorn and desperate as I was the only survivor on the island without any companions to support me. I would stay calm and would not lose my mind as I recognize an inspirational song “Skycraper” sang by Demi Lovato and the song mentioned that “Go on and try to tear me down. I will be rising from the ground”. No matter how many obstacles ahead, I should not be afraid and pessimistic. The priorities include personal safety, food and water.

I would ask myself certain questions like Are there any wild animals which might attack me and cause mechanical injuries? and is there any risk of flooding and heat stroke. Establishing personal safety is a significant thing to achieve. If the air temperature is abnormally high, I should wear fewer clothes in order to increase the surface area for sweating. During sweating, the sweats evaporate from our body surface and produce a cooling effect to our body. This would effectively prevent heat stroke. If there is a risk of flooding, I would stay in the center of the island in order to avoid being washed away by waves. On the other hand, I would use some wooden sticks to produce a fire which can frighten the wild animals and as a source of warmth to me. This is definitely killing two birds with one stone.

Finally, I would think about how to obtain food and water. I would use a long and sharp wooden splint to catch fish and heat them until they are not raw. For water, I would drink the sea water on the surface as it should contain fewer impurities than that at the bottom. This is the end of my sharing.

On the deserted island, there would be a large jungle, a small beach and some palm trees. I'd first calm down myself and eat one of the yummy coconuts on the palm trees! I'd try to explore the deep forest in order to find fruit to eat and a spring which provides fresh water. Next, I'd start building a simple shelter—maybe finding a small cave is good enough, as what I had to do was just building a door with branches! After arranging rocks to signal for help and starting a fire, I could enjoy my life on the island! Since there would be no other people on the island, I'd probably make friends with the kind and adorable animals there! On cloudy days, I would go fishing and have barbecue if possible. On rainy days, I would stay in the cave, start a fire and sing campfire songs with my animal friends! On sunny days, I'd swim at the beach freely, and go sunbathing afterward. Under the starry sky, I'd climb on a tree to admire the stunning scenery! I'd wait patiently instead of worrying or feeling desperate, as I had a faith that I'd be rescued soon!

Cindy Au Yeung | Holy Family Canossian College

It was a thundering, rainy evening when I was stranded on a deserted island after my little boat had been collided vigorously with a titanic rock. I exhausted my remaining efforts to climb up with my drenched backpack so as to figure out my position. The ground was white in colour covered by countless smelly objects --- the seagulls lived here, and their guanos had accumulated for almost meters thick. ‘Oh my goodness! I couldn’t stay here for long…...’

Suddenly, I heard a deep roar behind me, and the sense of unfortune told me that something bad would soon happen. Without a second’s hesitation, I jumped onto a thick branch of a tree with the help of a rattan. I used my entire courage to have a glimpse on my back and the head of a giant tiger suddenly appeared, but fortunately, fell down immediately. The tiger looked up and kept waiting for its ‘delicious prey’.

The sunshine was bright after a storming night. I woke up and hurriedly took out a piece of mirror from my ‘treasure bag’. After having my terrible breakfast time, I climbed up to the top of the tree, facing the mirror to the sun and using my ultimate weapon to seek help --- the Morse code. Playing the code of S.O.S repeatedly, I was extremely hopeless and tired. There was nothing but lots of guanos, as well as a giant tiger under the tree. What could I do? Would I really die here?

‘Lady, is this adventure intimidating?’, said a young men, removing the pair of VR glasses and smiling with his cunning face.
