I am so glad that I can attend this award ceremony. In the journey of English Builder, I obtain much knowledge. The most important experience is the improving English pronunciation. I have learned many things after using English Builder. For instance, I can learn new words when doing the vocabulary part. I can practise reading with correct pronunciations when doing the speaking part. What I like about English Builder is that the meanings of the vocabulary come in handy when I point at the word with an arrow. Furthermore, the focus is clear for every exercise. The revisions on Friday and the monthly assessment help me consolidate the things I have learned. English Builder helps me improve different skills in English. I think English Builder is a good online learning platform for us to learn English. There are lots of advantages to doing online exercises. If we find the exercises too easy or difficult, we can ask our teachers to raise or lower the levels so we can learn better and have more confidence in the work we do.

To begin with, what do you think of English Builder? A boring program? A time-consuming program?
In my opinion, English Builder is a useful platform for me to learn English. These days, nearly all students have a computer. I can enjoy doing online exercises through the English Builder. The English Builder can enrich my commonsense. The exercises include many interesting topics, for instance, some songs and celebrities. Secondly, the English Builder offers a lot of opportunities for me to practice listening skills. I can learn to listen to different speaking tones. I can also practice my speaking skills by following the speakers.

English is essential for our future. Through using the English Builder, I can build up a greater interest in learning English. Firstly, the listening exercises can train me to listen to a native speaking tone and brush up my listening skills. I can then look at the transcripts and read aloud the words. In addition to the vocabulary and reading exercises, I can learn more useful expressions. The usage exercises are rather challenging. I can train my proofreading skills and learn more about the forms of words. In my opinion, each exercise has a particular issue or theme that makes me more interested. Lastly, the English Builder has been teaching me lots of essential skills and I would like to recommend it to all of you.

After doing exercises on the English Builder, I find that I have greatly improved in my English. There are many different types of exercises, mainly on the four basic skills of learning English which are interesting and authentic. I can apply what I have learnt in my daily life. It is also a self-assessed and meaningful way to learn English. Therefore, it can enhance my interest in learning the language. Since its exercises are so useful, I would prefer doing them every day instead of just three times a week.

Learning a language takes time and effort. If we don’t really take in the things we are taught, we can never expect to master a language well. Therefore, whenever I do English builder exercises and come across unfamiliar words, I always jot them down and revise them from time to time. This helps a lot to improve my reading and writing skills. I have got to know many interesting and controversial issues around the world in the lessons as well.

I am honoured and happy to be elected one of the top achievers of English Builder 2009-2010. At the beginning, about September 2009, I did the exercises in English Builder simply because it was one of the assignments assigned by my English teacher. It was a duty but not an enjoyment. However, months pass, I now find such exercises extremely interesting, entertaining and, more importantly, very useful and educational.
Besides, doing English Builder not only boosts my English in reading, writing, listening as well as speaking, but also broadens my horizon in many different areas. English Builder is an effective and fun way to learn English. I will definitely continue doing English Builder exercises next year.

First of all, I am very happy to be awarded. These years, our school has provided us with different types of English self-learning online programmes. However, I think English Builder is the best among all. By doing the exercise, I learned a vast amount of vocabulary and phrases as well as the correct pronunciation of words. It was great fun to learn English on the Internet through English Builder website for the first time. My favorite part is vocabulary because I can learn a lot of new words and phrases. When I write compositions, I can always use some new vocabulary to write stories and express feelings. I liked the exercises on Fridays as they were some interesting games. Doing those exercises made me feel enjoyable in learning English. I would like to thank my school and English Builder for giving me the change to improve my English. I am glad to be one of the winners this year. Remember that two years ago it was my first time to use English Builder. At that moment I didn’t like it because it was not attractive to me. After doing the exercises in English Builder programme, I think this programme can let me study independently and help me to improve the reading, listening and writing skills. There are many vocabulary items in daily exercises, which help me to learn more vocabulary items and use these words in my writing or daily speaking. On the other hand, the reading part of this programme helps me to understand the story or articles easily. Although it takes me a lot of time to finish the exercises, it seems worthwhile to do these exercises because I can learn a lot from it.

I think English Builder is a useful device for learning English. First of all, English Builder offers different levels for students to learn suitable knowledge by the right level. By using English Builder in these two years, my English has improved obviously. It provides many practices for us, for example reading, listening and writing. Although I found some difficulties when I did the practices, I can learn a lot of new vocabulary from it. Besides, some vocabulary which I have jotted down, are useful for my writing. To conclude, using English Builder to learn English is fun.

I like using English Builder because it is helpful for me to improve my English. After doing English Builder, I learnt numerous vocabularies from different topics, for instance, environment, different cultures, sports, history etc. Second, I have improved my writing skill. Sometimes I write down some sentences vocabulary which I have learnt in English Builder in my writing. Third, it also improves my listening skill. There are many listening practices for training students’ listening skills. Although I listen to the recording again and again, my listening skills do improve a lot. So I think English Builder is good for student to learn English.

This is my first year receiving the English Builder Top Achievers Award Ceremony and it is truly an honour to be here. Throughout this academic year, we did a total of 77 lessons on English Builder, and the topics were really interesting. My particular favourite lessons were Twilight, Avatar, How to Train Your Dragon and Echoes of the Rainbow. I believe no one will doubt of the importance of English in our daily life. However, we may not know how to improve our English, which is not our native language. I would like to say thanks to the creator of English Builder.
This programme provides a wide variety of interesting passages. I can learn new and useful English words in each exercise. Also, I can learn more about the social and international issues after reading the passages at the same time. Moreover, the assignments and revisions are meaningful since it can help me to consolidate what I have learnt from the previous exercise.

I have already joined this online learning program for two years. In these two years, I’ve learnt many skills. For example, it has enriched my English vocabulary. Moreover, I’ve learnt some reading skills and listening skills, which used to be my weaker areas. But after I’ve joined this online program, I’ve got greater confidence and improvement in tests and exams.
